Currently a visiting scholar at the Institute of Sociology of Academia Sinica, Beatrice Zani ((French National Center for Scientific Research) examines transnational labor in the Asian fishing and shipping sectors, including the links between labor and commodity mobilities, global work and supply chains, and informality and digitality.
This workshop invites graduate students to reflect on the practical dilemmas of access, trust, complicity, positionality, and risk that shape contemporary fieldwork, and to discuss how these challenges resonate with their own research experiences.
